I'm being interviewed today by Profile Magazine. I'm very excited and hope the interview goes well. I haven't done many interviews so of course I am nervous that I'm going to say something stupid, but I'm hopeful that it goes well. In two weeks I'm booked in with the magazine's photographer for a photo shoot and that is scarier than the interview. The feature should be in the August edition of the magazine and I'll make sure to post it on here for you all the read once it's released. Very exciting!
I think I mentioned last week that I finished writing book two in my series. So, I'm hard at work with editing for that and it's going well. Editing on book one is close to being finished so I'm getting ready to query some agents. This is both exciting and terrifying because I am trying to ready myself for a lot of rejection letters. I hope you'll all keep your fingers crossed for me that an agent is interested in my books. I'll be sure to keep you updated on my 'agent-journey'.
My work just got all new furniture and I was shocked at how much some new chairs and couches in the office made such a difference. The rooms look so great now and I have decided to use that revelation in the rest of my life. I don't have to reinvent the bad things or get rid of them completely. Life is never going to be all good! All I have to do is give it a little face lift, improve what I can and allow those good changes to cover the bad things. Like the new couches cover the flaking paint and make the room look like new again. I'm giving my life a face lift and it's going to be awesome!
Next weekend I'm doing some training called 'Authorpreneur' where I will learn to market myself better as an author. I've never done any PR work so this is all new to me and I've been doing the best I can but there is room for improvement - a face lift you might say *wink*
I hope you are all well and happy. I'd love to hear what's going on for you all!!
