The Time Walker

How are you all? I haven't blogged about my current writing for a while so I thought it was time to give you all an update. Basically, it's going AWESOME!

Book 1 in my new series is called The Time Walker and I have completed the first draft. My editor is currently working her little butt off to tidy up any of my mistakes and we are hoping to have a marketable manuscript by the end of June - so close!!

I've been doing some research on agents and publicists and I'm getting ready to start sending out queries to see who is interested in publishing this book/series. I'm so excited about this and I can't wait for all of you to read it and hopefully fall in love with the characters, just like I have.

While I'm waiting for The Time Walker to be edited, I'm working hard on Book 2 in the series, The Mind Walker. I've written over 25,000 words and am going strong. I'm hoping that I can have a rough draft of the novel done by the time the manuscript of book one is ready.

For updates on The Time Walker and The Mind Walker, please keep an eye on the 'WALKER SERIES' tab on this website where I will post regular updates and word counts.

I went to the Gold Coast (on the East Coast of Australia for my international friends) to attend the Supanova convention last weekend. There were a few publishers represented there so I was able to put on my 'author-hat' and do some networking, as well as hobnob with some celebrities. I'll do a special Supanova post next week with all the details.

Until next time...

  1. You're making great progress, Hannah--keep it up! I didn't know Australia had a Gold Coast. Why is it called that?

  3. That's so awesome that you are moving forward with more books. I'd love to know how you manage to get your second book done and a third one in the wings so fast.

  5. Thanks so much everyone for the support!!

Jennifer - I have no idea what it's called The Gold Coast. The only thing I can guess is because the city is built right on the beach (coast) and it's known for always being sunny (gold)?? lol

Feather - I got the draft of my second book finished so fast because I participated in NaNoWriMo last November and got 70,000 words written in 30 days. I can highly recomend it as a motivator!!
